The Straight Stitch

The TuffSew Straight Stitch is a heavy duty portable walking foot sewing machine with straight and reverse stitch. Depending on how much work space you require, we offer this machine in two gate lengths: 7″or 9″. The gate length is the distance between the right side of the needle to the inside wall of the machine. 

The TuffSew Straight Stitch is designed for stitching products such as auto, boat, furniture upholstery, tarpaulins, sails, tents, camping trailer covers, awnings, umbrellas, tops, bags, luggage, handbags, travel-wear accessories, sports and camping equipment, wearing apparel, outdoor clothing, canvas shoes, slippers, orthopedic appliances, and much more.

Our built-in walking foot makes this machine superior to any household or industrial strength sewing machine because it grips the material from top and bottom, which relieves pressure on the needle assembly during the sewing process. This portable industrial sewing machine also features a geared belt pulley drive, which provides greater penetration power and longer belt life. 

Cleated positraction belts combined with a new geared hand wheel pulley, geared reduction pulley, and geared motor pulley eliminate slipping, which allows you to sew heavier fabrics and multiple layers, compared to your traditional sewing machine.
